For someone who designs handbags, Jessica Simpson sure does spend a lot of money carrying other people’s couture creations. (Not that I blame her.) Already a well-known fan of Louis Vuitton and Roberto Cavalli, Jessica has now moved on to Dior, relying on a hot pink Lady Dior Woven Shopper to jazz up her low-key outfit of jeans and a gray shawl. The outfit is nothing to write about (and yet…), but I love that delicious shot of pink. It really pulls everything together and makes what could have been just a last-minute, thrown-together ensemble a an actual LOOK. Nice work, girl.

Fringed purse season is in and Taylor Swift is no exception. But instead of opting for the standard Roberto Cavalli or JJ Winters, Taylor is carrying a frigned leather handbag from the lesser-known Texas label SL McFadin. I love the bag and its dark chocolate leather, but I’m not crazy about Taylor’s outfit. A floral dress, striped cardi, blue flats, and a boho bag = way too much. Still, I could definitely see myself getting lots of mileage out of a trendy but surprisingly versatile purse like this.

Whoa – what is it, Throw On Everything in Your Closet Day? A monochrome Catherine Zeta-Jones may have made a fashion blunder with her black ensemble – a fur coat AND a beachy Annie Hall-style hat? where are you going? – but at least she gets points for wearing Christian Louboutin booties and a darling Chanel handbag. Unfortunately, they both get lost in this murky sea of black. Catherine, darling – Chanel should be the spotlight!

Okay, who is Lily Allen’s personal stylist and how can I hire this person? Seriously – this girl gets her clutches on all the good designer handbags, including the elusive Russian Doll clutch from Chanel’s pre-fall “Paris in Moscow” collection. Jealous? It’s a novelty purse, to be sure, but one I wouldn’t mind owning. The petite black and silver creation is very cute, yet with that luxe Chanel style. Some girls have all the luck.

That’s one crazy smile you’ve got there Ms. Diaz. You can make some serious money in movies, so why is she dragging her own luggage??? A decidedly down to normal Cameron Diaz looked stylish – if not a tad Sherpa-like – in her black coat, jeans, and plaid scarf, thanks in part to that elegent Chanel purse hanging from her neck. As if that wasn’t enough, Cam’s also got a large brown leather handbag on her, though it’s too hard to tell who that’s by. Way to get around those pesky carry-on rules, girlfriend!

Wow, we love Victoria Beckham’s new Valentino Glamorous Handbag.  Now, the military of Victoria Beckham is showing off her gray bag.  But seriously, Vic- get rid of that hat!

Beyonce’s is spotted in NYC with a bag from the city’s favorite designer: Diane von Furstenberg. Beyonce hit the streets with a Stephanie Large Slouchy Hobo bag in on her arm, a beautiful bag with plenty of room. To be honest, I’m a huge fan of the handbag, which has reminds me of a classic style.

I remember when everyone had to have the Theda. This was back when Jessica and Nick were still married, and LV Murakami anything ruled the planet. The Theda isn’t a very functional bag, and I’ve honestly never seen anyone wear it well. I can see the direction Kim Kardashian is trying to go with her look…but the execution, well, it just ain’t happening. The bag is too much when paired with her print maxi and large gold earrings. I would have loved to seen her with a small clutch, but since this is KK we’re talking about, I guess it had to be over the top.

Who would ever think you could get Balenciaga Motorcycle handbags in lime green. We recently spotted Nicky Hilton carrying a beautiful lime green version of the high status bag, boldly wearing it with a summery purple top and jean daisy-dukes. I’m all for variety, and the the green/purple color combo looks supurb.  What do you think?

Lindsay Lohan has acquired quite the collection of Chanel handbags. I like the contrast the classic bags have to her almost always disheveled look of messy hair, smeared liner and dark clothes. She looks more pulled together than usual here, and we’re glad to see it! The Chanel bag she’s carrying is simple and to the point, but still has all of that awesome Chanel luxury that may warrant the  2k+ price tag.
