Personally, Chanel has the best line up of celebrity bags on the market. With their 2011 Chanel Handbag just around the corner, it will be interesting to see which celebrities will be picking up their new bags!

A monochrome Catherine Zeta-Jones may have made a fashion blunder with her black ensemble – a fur coat AND a beachy Annie Hall-style hat? where are you going? – but at least she gets points for wearing Christian Louboutin booties and a darling Chanel handbag. Unfortunately, they both get lost in this murky sea of black. Catherine, darling – Chanel should be the spotlight!

You can tell that Beyonce's taste for expensive designer purses runs in the family. Sasha Fierce grabbed her white Valentino handbag for a family outing with sister Solange and her son, plus mama Tina Knowles with her own quilted Chanel handbag. After waving her Hermes bags all over Hollywood, Heidi Montag, that “Hills& gal you love to hate, has turned her eye to the Fendi Spy (and, if my eyes aren't failing me, it looks like she's already got an electric-blue Chanel purse on her arm already). Seriously – does Brent Bolthouse pay this girl to play with designer purses at LA boutiques? (And is he hiring?) And does seeing Heidi carrying these covetable big-name bags lessen their appeal in your eyes?

I don't know why I'm giving these two pop culture vultures any more exposure, but hey, this is a designer handbag site, and that is one fetching Yves Saint Laurent purse Heidi Montag is holding. Did it come from Santa or Spencer? Who knows? But I do know that I'm definitely reevaluating my life choices if a reality show nimcompoop like her can have a stockpile of luxury purses (let's not forget her Chanel and Hermes stash) while I save my pennies. Anyway, I like the plum hue – it's bold but still suitable for winter.

If it weren't for the ever-present quilted Chanel purse (love the dove gray hue!), I don't think I would have identified this stylish creature as singer Lily Allen. With her short, layered &do, the Brit songbird is a dead ringer for Selma Blair, don't you think? At any rate, I'm digging Lily's sophisticated transition from quirky vintage frocks (which Katy Perry immediately reclaimed for herself) to sleek, sublime outfits enhanced by her favorite handbag label, Chanel. And kudos for mixing up your whites, blacks, and grays. Monochrome is ever so dull.

Give a girl an Emmy and her fashion sense instantly improves. Well, her taste in designer handbags, anyway. Katherine Heigl, who's made some purse blunders in the past, took a step in the right direction by showing off this fabulous black quilted Chanel Caviar Tote with a metallic chain strap and a stitched double C logo. This is a favorite starlet “it& bag and it's nice to see Katherine stepping up her game. Hopefully next time she'll wear her Chanel with something a little less casual.
