Buh-bye black! Ashlee Simpson upgraded to a vibrant purple skirt and colorful print blouse on a recent outing, though she wisely opted for a black Chanel purse to tie the look together. Simpson’s style has really blossomed lately, probably has a result of her acting gig on “Melrose Place.” Whatever it is, we dig it.

So what do you think of  Jessica Alba and her purple shirt? The other day it was purple pants, and this past week she hit a baby store in this perfect purple blouse and the high class Roger Vivier Cut Up Bag on her arm. The awesome accessory is adorned with Vivier’s initials on the flap, but the rest is a consumer’s creative playground. Nicole Richie: Balenciaga = Victoria Beckham: Hermes = Eva Longoria: Gerard Darel. The ‘Desperate Housewives’ seems to be quite smitten with the Darel handbag line, once again stepping out with her 36-Hour Midday Barcelona purse. I like the unconventional blue color, and Eva certainly has her color-matching down, but the blue hat trim, blue blouse (also a Darel), and blue bag might be a smidge too much.
