For someone who designs handbags, Jessica Simpson sure does spend a lot of money carrying other people’s couture creations. (Not that I blame her.) Already a well-known fan of Louis Vuitton and Roberto Cavalli, Jessica has now moved on to Dior, relying on a hot pink Lady Dior Woven Shopper to jazz up her low-key outfit of jeans and a gray shawl. The outfit is nothing to write about (and yet…), but I love that delicious shot of pink. It really pulls everything together and makes what could have been just a last-minute, thrown-together ensemble a an actual LOOK. Nice work, girl.

Fringed purse season is in and Taylor Swift is no exception. But instead of opting for the standard Roberto Cavalli or JJ Winters, Taylor is carrying a frigned leather handbag from the lesser-known Texas label SL McFadin. I love the bag and its dark chocolate leather, but I’m not crazy about Taylor’s outfit. A floral dress, striped cardi, blue flats, and a boho bag = way too much. Still, I could definitely see myself getting lots of mileage out of a trendy but surprisingly versatile purse like this.

Okay girls, brace yourself for some tough love. Lo: We love you but that borderline blah dress belongs at Sunday mass, not Saturday night clubbing. Audrina: Two words: Camel. Toe. LC: Call me Goldilocks, but this one feels juuuuuuuuuust riiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Of course, I’m easily distracted by that lovely Chanel Caviar handbag she’s carrying; the best money Jason Wahler has ever spent, I’m sure. The dress is unfussy but sexy in its own way, and the black and white mix works well. Now let’s just hope some drunk club-goer doesn’t spill her amaretto sour on that gorgeous handbag.

We just love  Kirsten Dunst had me at “hello” with her lovely Chanel 2.55 purse…but then I took in the rest of our outfit. Listen, I’m all for mixing it up and eclectic tastes, but I don’t see the point of pairing a dainty designer bag with a just-came-from-Woodstock-and-I’m-still-picking-mud-out-of-my-bra outfit. The black shirt and ankle-gracing Big Love skirt do nothing for her, or that Chanel. But thanks for playing.

That’s one crazy smile you’ve got there Ms. Diaz. You can make some serious money in movies, so why is she dragging her own luggage??? A decidedly down to normal Cameron Diaz looked stylish – if not a tad Sherpa-like – in her black coat, jeans, and plaid scarf, thanks in part to that elegent Chanel purse hanging from her neck. As if that wasn’t enough, Cam’s also got a large brown leather handbag on her, though it’s too hard to tell who that’s by. Way to get around those pesky carry-on rules, girlfriend!

Kate Moss seriously, when does she ever carry non-black purses? It’s not to say that we don’t love her new Gucci Bag. Clearly going for a stylish look with her striped top and red and blue purse, Kate seems quite in with the season, and it’s nice to see her shake her diggs up a bit. What say you? Beyonce’s is spotted in NYC with a bag from the city’s favorite designer: Diane von Furstenberg. Beyonce hit the streets with a Stephanie Large Slouchy Hobo bag in on her arm, a beautiful bag with plenty of room. To be honest, I’m a huge fan of the handbag, which has reminds me of a classic style.

So what do you think of  Jessica Alba and her purple shirt? The other day it was purple pants, and this past week she hit a baby store in this perfect purple blouse and the high class Roger Vivier Cut Up Bag on her arm. The awesome accessory is adorned with Vivier’s initials on the flap, but the rest is a consumer’s creative playground. She may be holding her Louis Vuitton monogrammed backpack like it’s a baby, but you might hold on to it tightly too if you had a bag that expensive. And though Louis Vuitton is pretty upscale for what appears to be a workout outfit, at least Brandy isn’t wearing a shower cap like fellow LV-lover Snoop Dogg did. Besides, the bag’s many pockets make it a practical choice for running errands. It’s a stylish one too, thanks to that instantly recognizable brown leather monogrammed print.

Superstar Fergie took her usual streetwear style up a notch and was photographed walking in London in a very sophisticated trench coat and a black Balenciaga Motorcycle Bag. Though it’s been out for a while and is no longer the ultra “it” bag it once was, the Motorcycle Bag is still one of those bags that will be stylish for seasons to come. Who can resist that black leather, gold hardware, and little side buckles?
